Exciting AKC news!

The American Bolognese Club is so excited to announce that we have moved the breed from foundation stock services to the miscellaneous category! Now, what does that mean to you?

What that means is we are one step closer to being a recognized a case. The Bolognese breed has been recognized by the FCI In Europe for ages. When we bring a new breed into the United States, and want them to be recognized by the AKC, there are certain things that we have to do.

Our club has been diligently, making all the effort and checking off all the boxes to get our breed recognized breed. Now we are able to show an AKC events under the miscellaneous category. That’s really exciting news for us!

As a buyer, that’s important news for you as well, because that just shows that our breed is moving into a category of recognition, that when established there will now be consistency within our breed. We breeders who follow the AKC breed standard, and to be doing health testing which Aria Bolognese has done for sometime.

All around this is just great news for the Bolognese breed in the future. We’ll have consistency in our look, and we will have a very healthy stock for your next family friend and or show Dog to come from!

Here’s to the future!
